What is an Ash Catcher?

Ash Catchers are a bong's best friend

Think of ash catchers as a night club bouncer. They filter out the problematic guests while allowing the good stuff to enter


Bongs work best when they are free of resin and ash. These particles clog percolators and can be a real pain to clean off the sides of glass. The best way to clean your piece is to keep it from getting dirty in the first place. This doesn't mean not using it, rather, adding a layer of protection between debris and your bong. You'll be shocked at how long your bong is clean for and there's an added time and money savings for needing less cleaning bottles. When it is time to clean the ash catcher we made this to be as fast as possible. Throw the unit in a plastic bag, add some cleaner and swish around. Rinse with warm water and you're done! Typically this process takes but a few minutes with many cases being done in 60 seconds.

Traditional ash catchers create too much drag and can feel like you are trying to suck through a straw. Furthermore, after a few uses the water inside the ash catcher gets pulled into the bong, which dampens the bong's function.   • How do I use an ash catcher

    1. Place the ash catcher on your bong where the bowl normally would go.  Put the bowl on top of the ash catcher. 


    2. For the best experience always use ground up herb. 


    3. Light the bowl and inhale. You'll see and hear smoke churn in both the ash catcher and bong base. Remove the bowl to clear the smoke. 

  • What size bowl does it fit?

    Both 14mm and 18mm bowls. The joint on the ash catcher is a male. 

  • How do I clean it?

    We designed this to be as fast and easy to clean as possible. Place the ash catcher in a plastic bag, pour in cleaning solution and swish around. Make sure the solution runs through all percolators and any visibility dirty areas. If needed, let the solution sit for a few minutes then swish around again and rinse the piece thoroughly with warm water. 

  • Is shipping free? Do you offer shipping protection?

    Yes to both! Domestic US shipping is always free. Shipping rates for international shipments are calculated at checkout.  At checkout you have the option of adding Route Shipping Insurance. Route will fully replace any unit that arrives broken or goes missing / stolen.
