How Nectar Collectors Work

Nectar Collectors are essentially used like one giant glass honey straw

DAB RIGS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE WATER FILTRATION, BUT TOO MUCH ISN'T OPTIMAL


Adding water is great for filtering and cooling smoke. With that in mind, we built the bubbler function to be the ideal combination of size and efficiency. It's highly effective at creating filtration but doesn't dilute the taste of your wax either.

What is glycerin?

Glycerin is a non-toxic fatty gel that's commonly found in food and sweeteners. It freezes quicker than water and stays frozen longer. It also doesn't expand and contract like water does so there's no added pressure on the glass. Pop this baby in the freezer for at least an hour and it'll stay cold for you and your friends to get where you wanna go.

How to use a Nectar Collector

Step 1 is to always use a glass nectar collector. This is your health we're talking about and heating silicone is never a good idea long term. 


Begin by filling the main chamber with just enough water so the holes in the percolator are submerged. 


Insert the metal tip and connect the glycerin coil via the provided clip.


Heat the metal tip with a torch until the tip slightly starts to turn red. Then wait 3 - 5 seconds to cool.


Hold the nectar collector vertically (like drinking from a straw) and lightly touch the metal tip to the concentrate and inhale.

FAQ

  • How do you heat the titanium tip?

    Heat the tip of the titanium nail with a butane torch, making sure to roll move the torch around a little to heat the titanium evenly. When it starts to glow faintly, stop heating and let the tip cool for 3-5 seconds. You’re now ready to touch the tip to your concentrate and take a dab.

  • How much water do I put in it?

    Slightly submerge the holes in the perc. Roughly about an 1 inch of water.

  • Is shipping free? Do you offer shipping protection?

    Yes to both! Domestic US shipping is always free. Shipping rates for international shipments are calculated at checkout.  At checkout you have the option of adding Encased Shipping Insurance. Encased will fully replace any unit that arrives broken or goes missing / stolen. 

  • How long do I freeze the coil for? How long can I leave it in the freezer?

    We recommend freezing the coil for 1-hour, but if you just wanted a few quick hits you can go shorter. It's okay to leave the glycerin coil in the freezer in between sessions. Even without freezing the glycerin coil this nectar collector will still impress you. 

  • How do I clean it? Is the Nectar Collector hard to clean?

    Cleaning the nectar collector is easy and you can always reference this cleaning article.  In short, Soak the glycerin coil in a plastic bag with the solution and rise with warm water. To clean the base simply swirl the solution around and add warm water. For the quickest way to clean your piece, check out this custom made Freeze Pipe cleaning kit from Original 420.
